TASC/AMICAALL Piggs Peak Partnership TASC/AMICAALL Piggs VCT centre was officially opened on the 17th September 2003. The centre is funded by the European Commission through the HAPAC programme. The site is situated at Piggs Peak town at the Lidlelantfongeni (Swaziland National Provident Fund) building. The structure consists of 2 counselling rooms, laboratory, reception, waiting room/resource, conference room and store room. There is a total of five staff members. The VCT centre started providing VCT services to the drop in clients and has managed to identify and mobilise 10 rural communities and groups namely Nkomazi community, Sicabangela Imphilo support group, Hhelehhele, Gobolondlo youth empowerment group, Nginamadolo, Buhle BaBomake group, Coral Steven, Ntfonjeni, Sibane youth group, Majananda youth group Endzingeni, Luhlangotsini. All these areas are provided with services for the mobile VCT outreach programme in the Northern Hhohho region. A total number of 496 clients were seen at the Piggs Peak VCT centre and 1207 in communities in the northern Hhohho sub region during mobile VCT outreach. TASC and the Royal Swaziland Sugar Corporation (RSSC) Partnership A contract agreement was signed between TASC and RSSC for the establishment and conduction of VCT centres at Simunye and Mhlume. The role and responsibility of TASC in this partnership, among others, are:
The VCT centres at Simunye and Mhlume provide HIV/AIDS VCT services to RSSC employees, dependants, third parties and any other non-RSSC person and conduct outreach VCT to employees at the workplace. TASC/BCHA HIV MOBILE WELLNESS VCT PROGRAM PROJECT CONSORTIUM Business Coalition against HIV/AIDS (BCHA) is a substructure of the Federation of Swaziland Employer and chamber of Commerce. It is a Program that deals with HIV in the workplace. It was established in 2001 in response to the high prevalence rate of HIV in the world of work in Swaziland . In 2002 there was initial phase – Companies signing declaration BCHA is working in collaboration with TASC who is responsible for monitoring & evaluation of the mobile VCT program and its Funded by NERCHA, Other Partners include but not limited to Standard Bank, RSSC, Ned bank The programme was launched at Swazican industry on the 19 th November 2004. The target group for the programme are employers, employees, farmer (can Grower, poultry, bee farmers, forestry etc.), Business owners and Individual families. The services provided by the program at the workplace are behavioral, IEC Literature distribution, Condom demonstration and distribution, Pre-Test counseling, Post-Test counseling, ongoing supportive counseling and referral.
