COMMUNITY OUTREACH The TASC

Outreach] program delivers a
wide variety of services in rural communities both to individuals and to
the community as a whole. |
TRAINING
TASC
offers CIHTC/VCT and front desk counselor [training]
in partnership with the Ministry of health and social welfare.

URBAN
One of TASC’s core programming area is its
[Urban Centre]
in Manzini. The site serves to provide access to
quality standardised counseling and testing in addition to providing HIV
information, education and support for prevention, treatment and care.

On Saturday November
8th 2008, the Stephen Lewis Foundation (SLF) along with
SWAPOL hosted a dinner for HIV/AIDS and gender based organizations in
Swaziland.

TASC CELEBRATES WORLD AIDS DAY 2008
The AIDS Information
and Support Centre (TASC) this past year celebrated the World AIDS Day
by coordinating two events at the Manzini Bus Rank and in the
Ekudzeni community;sponsored by NERCHA and University Research Centre (URC)
respectively.

TASC OUTREACH PROGRAM IMPACTING COMMUNITIES
In
keeping with its mandate to “reduce the spread of HIV and AIDS
in Swaziland..,” TASC found it necessary to reach out to
individuals and families at grass roots level in rural
communities. This program focuses on mitigating the impact of
HIV and AIDS. The TASC community outreach team strives to
provide HIV related counseling to people in 24 rural communities
in Swaziland.[Download
